Support, Aftersales and Calibration

PFO designs and manufactures products which are reliable and field proven, however the provision of aftersales support and calibration is essential in a global marketplace. Our in-built diagnostic software enables our engineers to establish remote online connection to analyse the status and identify faults, normally without a field service visit. To ensure compliance with testing standards, our instruments require annual re-calibration, another service we offer to our global clients.

Our instruments are deployed all over the world and we have a comprehensive range of options to provide support after installation. Where installation and training is included in the scope of supply, our warranty includes on-site at no additional cost during the warranty period.

Field instruments where we have not provided on-site installation and training are maintained during warranty on a return-to-factory basis. Parts and labour are covered during the warranty period.

A range of bespoke service plans is available to suit customer requirements and budgets. In many cases telephone and online support are able to keep systems running with minimal intervention.

Our engineers are available for remote service, to diagnose, update and repair our instruments wherever they are deployed. Designed without moving parts, our solid state measurement systems are reliable and stable in operation such that intervention is rarely required and uptime exceeds industry expectations.

Furthermore, we can provide extensive training to allow your own personnel to carry out most repairs or maintenance work on-site.

Calibration can be arranged to take place annually on-site at customer’s premises, or in the case of field portable instruments they can be returned to our factory for annual re-calibration. In all cases the calibration is certified, fully traceable to international standards and fully compliant to the manufacturer’s ISO9000 approved procedure.

Our engineering team is experienced and skilled in measurement techniques and available to provide “hands on” training on our equipment at your designated site.

Content of the training can be anything from basic optical theory through the use of our measurement equipment, and can allow customers to gain the knowledge to maintain and repair our measurement systems on site.

With improved knowledge, we have found that customers can reduce start up times and increase reliability through adopting the correct procedures.
